Thieves targeting vehicles, reminder to lock it or lose it

Police from the Inner West Patrol Group (IWPG) are advising residents that within recent weeks, thieves have been targeting vehicles in the Inner West areas.
Disturbingly, in a large number of cases the vehicles were not locked.
Whilst the actual number is not high, from experience we know that if we make it easy for criminals, they have a tendency to return and also pass this information onto associates.

The dangers of drink driving

Last night I attended a traffic crash where a young male who had consumed a quantity of alcohol had made a very poor decision to then attempt to drive his car home.
Whilst he was attempting to drive home he collided with a parked vehicle causing significant damage to his car.
Damaged vehicle
As you can see the impact was substantial.
The male continued to drive the vehicle to his home address where police located him a short time later.
The male underwent a roadside breath test which returned a positive reading.
Due to the amount of damage to the vehicle and the deployment of the vehicles airbags as a result of the impact, the driver was transported to hospital and examined by medical professionals.
Deployed airbags
I spoke with the young mans’ parents for some time afterwards and they were understandably distraught about his decision to drive.
His father had even offered to drive his son home so
