Inappropriate behaviour towards females, Brisbane North

Police are investigating a series of common assaults and inappropriate behaviour towards females whilst travelling on public transport networks by a 23-year-old man within the Mitchelton, Grovely and Keperra areas.  Police are urging anyone who believes they may have been a victim or a witness to a similar offence to contact police.

Serious traffic crash, Taringa

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash in Taringa overnight.
At around 7:30pm emergency services were called to Swann Road, near the intersection of Moggill Road, following reports a woman had been hit by a car.
Preliminary investigations indicate a car struck a woman, knocking her onto the railway tracks below.
Police officers arrived and commenced CPR on the woman until other emergency services arrived.
A 19-year-old woman from Redlynch was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
The 20-year-old female driver of the vehicle was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital as a precaution.
Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident or who may have dash cam footage of the area (pictured) to contact Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Update: Robbery with violence, St Lucia

Police have charged two men following an alleged robbery with violence in St Lucia last night.
Initial investigations indicate at around 10pm a man was sitting in his car on Herschel Street in the Brisbane CBD when another car collided with his vehicle.
The man followed the car to Dell Street in St Lucia where it had crashed into a tree. Two occupants of the car then assaulted the man, stealing his vehicle and fleeing the scene.
The 25-year-old man was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
On Friday, May 19th, police located a man in Indooroopilly after he had allegedly stolen a set of keys from a house. Police located the stolen Black BMW in a nearby street. Police located another man in Fortitude Valley a short time later.
A 32-year-old Spring Hill man and a 22-year-old Currumbin man have been both charged with one count of armed robbery and dangerous operation

Public assistance and vigilance results in the rapid apprehension of burglary offenders, Mitchelton

Police from Ferny Grove Station would like to thank the public for their vigilance and assistance in the apprehension of offenders involved in theft of property from dwellings in Mitchelton on the afternoon of Thursday, May 11.
The offenders were observed to enter differing addresses in Mitchelton by a member of the public who contacted police. Police were able to provide a rapid response and apprehended the offenders.
A total of five offenders were located with property, including personal belongings, money, mobile phone and other electrical devices.
The detailed information supplied and vigilance of the public has assisted in the rapid apprehension of these offenders who are to appear before the courts at a later date.
Ferny Grove Police would like to thank you for your assistance.

Robbery with violence, St Lucia

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery with violence in St Lucia overnight.
Initial investigations indicate at around 10pm a man was sitting in his car on Herschel Street in the Brisbane CBD when another car collided with his vehicle.
The man followed the car to Dell Street in St Lucia where it had crashed into a tree. Two occupants of the car then assaulted the man, stealing his vehicle and fleeing the scene.
The 25-year-old man was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The two men are described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in their 20s with brown hair and were last seen wearing dark-coloured hooded jumpers.
The stolen vehicle is a black 2013 BMW Z4 (similar to pictured), with Queensland registration 704-XBP and was last seen driving along Boomerang Street in St Lucia.
Investigations are continuing.

Crime alert: Annie Street, Auchenflower

Police are seeking witnesses or information about a break and enter offence that occurred in Annie Street, Auchenflower between May 16 at about 11pm and May 17 at 5.30am. Residents were home at the time of the offence.

Offenders used an unknown implement to force open a glass sliding door to a detached studio where they searched the premises. They then gained entry to an upper level area where they again forced entry through a glass kitchen door.  Property stolen included handbags, cash, banking cards, driver’s licence and glasses plus the keys to a vehicle.
Offenders then stolen the resident’s vehicle being a white VW Golf Hatchback bearing Queenslandd registration plates 909VIN.
Some of the stolen property was later located at Rochedale near the site of another burglary offence.
Anyone with CCTV footage in the Annie Street, Auchenflower area are asked to contact local police. Anyone with information is encourage to speak with police.

Is it Spiderman?

No, it is not the movies, this is real life.
Police are appealing to residents to lock doors leading to balconies following an increase in break and enters in Grimes and Ridley Streets, Auchenflower.
Between May 14 and 15, offenders have climbed up onto the balconies of unit complexes entered stealing property.
Property stolen included cash and credit cards which were later located in a wheelie bin nearby.
Offenders made attempts to gain entry to another set of balcony doors on the second-story without success.
Help police stop this ‘Spiderman’ style offence by being vigilant with home security. Lock doors and windows to balconies even when you are at home.
Lock it, check it, don’t regret it.
Anyone with CCTV that could assist investigations are asked to contact their local police.
